Move over T-Rex teasers and Big Foot boners - Cari Silverwood is in town with a whole new take on doing it with demonic non-human creatures. If there is such a thing as quality monster porn, this is it!

Welcome back to the boudoir which we are sharing today with Aussie erotic writer, Bianca Sarble. I met Bianca in the notorious Facebook group, Erotic Writers of Australia. She is one cheeky lady and lots of fun, so let's get under the sheets and get to know her better...

If you're after some boundary pushing then you've come to the right place. Cathleen likes a challenge in the bedroom, here's why...

‘Erotica can change the world, I really believe that.’ This statement was issued with conviction by my fellow panelist, Krissy Kneen, last Wednesday night during The Wheeler’s Centre Sex in Words event. Sounds crazy, right? How can erotica change anything, let alone the world? It’s just writing about sex, isn’t it? Maybe. Then again, maybe not.

I have so many mixed feelings about this book I hardly know where to start on this review.

Gemmell’s grasp of poetic language is delicious and it’s what makes her work a ‘weak at the knees’ read for me. I Take You is a love story dripping with eroticism and a romance with a happy ever after ending that is at once believable and satisfying.

Sometimes reading sexy novels can be tiring, all that huff and puff over and over again with the same characters, which is why I’m a bit of a fan of the short story anthology. Little Raven 2 anthology is an impressive and diverse collection showcasing some great new talent.

Voyeurism, bestiality, incest. Not standard fare for most of us when it comes to erotic fiction. These are the themes in each of the three linked erotic stories in Krissy Kneen’s Triptych: an erotic adventure. Don't forget your sense of humour!

Welcome to my milk bar. Remember strolling barefoot into the local milk bar as a kid with twenty cents in your hand, ready to make a selection of your favourite sweets. This week, instead of delivering you a pre-made dessert a la mode, I’m offering the blogging equivalent of a bag of mixed lollies.

It’s quirky, interesting, a little bit challenging and a whole lot of fun. Saucy is an inspired combination of erotic spoken word and unique plus-size burlesque. An event to whet many appetites.

Being an author isn't always about getting the words down, although that is the most important part. Once the words are down and out in the wild, people like to talk to you about them, particularly if the words in question are a bit controversial.

Apologies for my absence. I've been frantic the last couple of weeks with finishing a rough draft of my second novel and attending the annual Romance Writers of Australia conference in Fremantle Perth. I have returned to the desk after a fortnight feeling somewhat dazed and confused because during my week in the West I fell in love with so much - music, art, words, people - I think I'm suffering in-love-brain-fry.

If, after last week’s post, you’re still undecided whether Edible Delights Vol 2 should find its way to your e-reader or not, this week’s Tasty Morsel might convince you. Five authors, five very different stories. A treasury of romantic, sexy, food themed tales is what Edible Delights Volume 2 is about.

Excited, excited, excited. Why? Because today I’m celebrating my fourth publication for 2013! Yep, FOUR in my first year!

Most of us prefer not to look at dark things. But sometimes we must, in the interests of wisdom and justice. I didn’t know what to expect when an advance reading copy of the novel Tampa by American author Alissa Nutting arrived on my desk. I hadn’t heard anything about it and, in hindsight, I’m glad. I wouldn’t want to have read this book with preconceptions.

Unless you've been hiding under a rock you probably heard the story about the US couple who saved their home by self publishing erotic stories on internet? Or about how Natasha Walker, author of The Secret Lives of Emma, is a guy not a gal?

I was recently very fortunate to be invited by Simon & Schuster to travel to Sydney for a couple of awesome reasons. The first was to meet with a group of readers and do a live book club discussion of The Yearning, which was just wonderful.

A lot of people poo-poo erotic romance, and romance in general, as fluffy rubbish, and in some cases they’d be right. However, as a generalisation it’s deeply wrong to make the assumption that all romance and erotic fiction is just about sexy titillation that involves little intelligence to read and less talent to write.

About a month ago I ‘came out’ as a debut author at my very first spoken word event. The Wheeler Centre (God bless their enthusiasm for the written word) invited me to be part of their monthly ‘Debut Monday’ for May.
